Yeah, I reckon BG should ignore the nonsense and forget about it. He sounds like a nice guy and it would be a pity for him to leave. People do tend to be 'big' when they are hiding behind a computer. We have all seen it when are out riding and someone in a cage flips the bird cause they feel 'safe'. Irritating, but we get over it. Some guys 'spanked' me a bit in the beginning and kind of said that I did not even own a bike! You know what, who cares? I surely do own a ZX1400 and I love it. So, Laverda1200, you got it spot on.

my third and most important lesson learned is that absolutely none of this matters, not the least little bit, and if too much attention is paid to emotionally charged issues, people will go elsewhere to other forums, voting with their feet and keyboards that trivial crap like this isn't worth reading, then only to find the crap is also happening on other forums, often worse......
