good find KAK. About half the weight is what all of the keyless caps are. just stretch some electrical tape over the bit to protect the pint on the screws. I did that in my pic above even with anodized finish. you can always touch up a few spots after installing.

Got my Vortex today install pretty much a breeze. Don't know why they don't include black bolts though, for that matter any new bolts have to use your old bolts

Looks great Scotty. I think black bolts would be better too....or red. You just paint them or if you are picky, get some of that red fake anodized spray paint.

I got my anodized black bolts from OPP Racing. They are countersinks sold for the LightTech gascap I got so IDT they will work for you. Looks like you have ....i think those are called caps crews.....just like the OEM gas cap bolts.

k painted my oem bolts just to get an idea on how it will look got a black set coming but may order a red set also. Probolt.com has the se red it may look cool also but heres the black. think i may do the cap bolts in black also

I'm so bad at predicting what looks best..I just have to see it...but I think the black bolts will looks best with te single red note of the cap lock. Matbe th etwo center bolts could be red too...or black...IDK silver looks good too LOL. Cool cap you have there.

Here's the Roaring Toyz cap. I like the simple 1/8th turn. Haven't tested the sealing yet but it looks like a quality part.
Like the rest of you, I can't understand why you don't get matching color bolts. They make these things to dress up your bike but ignore details like the bolts.
My cap came with "special" bolts but even they aren't perfectly shaped besides being zinc plated. They had numbers stamped into them which I filed off. They are flat headed and recessed to fit down into the holes but they don't sit flush when tightened. Even after my filing they still aren't near flush. Not bad though.
I'm betting it would be difficult to find some black bolts that would look better and fit proper so I decided to paint mine with gloss black. I can't match the anodized black of the cap but gloss looked closer than satin black. The screws tighten down easily so there's little, if any, damage to the paint. Any little chip can be touched up with a toothpick. I figure since the bolts won't be tooled on the finish should stay nice. If not then I suppose I'll be looking for black bolts too.

KAK, looks good for simple smooth elegance. I really prefer the 5 bolt design even though two are just fakes. The OEM has fakes. I have considered doing some fake countersinks and bondo work on mine to a make a 5 bolt.

Scotty, that looks perfect......silvers in center are nice. You could easily drill press a couple holes and JB Weld a couple extra bolt black heads in there if you want. I wouldn't bother with it now. Looks really good and it's brand new.

Yeah, I like the Pit Bulls. Like my "Ducati Servicio" sign? It was in a building getting demolished so I asked the guy if I could have it and he said OK. Not sure how old it is but the Ducati shop closed a good 25+ years ago. It was a bicycle shop since then. Guess they liked it too. Nice addition to the garage.

I picked up a new gas cap from China. It has a little insignia on it that says "Arashi."

I think it's almost as heavy as the OEM because of the locking mechanism but it will be a sufficient substitute while I'm doing some enhancements on my LighTech gas cap. I bought it because I liked how it looked and it was cheap. $46 from AliExpress or Ebay. The ad showed the part in blue for the ZX-14 and there were no color options. I asked for a gold cap with a blue base. I got a black key but I didn't ask for that. No screws came with mine. The color is fine. Not quite as lush as some of the high quality anodized blue American parts I have gotten. The cap is pretty pathetic for a gold. Looks more like a copper to me. I will probably paint it with gold VHT and that will be fine. There is a small abrasion on the edge but I can hit that with a touch of anodized blue VHT.

The lock seems to work great. The only problem is I better remember to bring that key with me and I hope I don't lose it. It would not be hard to make a key out of aluminum rod or a hardwood dowel. A pair of needle nose pliers would work in a pinch.
