Indeed
More displacement would be great to see,
It was an evolution....ZX12, ZX14... next a ZX16 or 17

Here it is! No info only visual. Looks like it has the remote preload.

Have to cut and paste. Can't figure out how to make it work.

I just paste the link, and then paste it again where the cursor is.
Looks like 16+ got euro emissions updates and bold new graphics, or whatever they call it.
Basically same bike, as we knew it would be.

I dont see why Kawi would roll out an upgrade before Suzuki rolls out a new Busa? I would work on engineering development until then, and then roll out the new Busa killer.
Color scheme is not for me. But, KHI still wins the award for biggest ugliest pumpkin chuckers!!

My Harley-Davidson has more than this (from above):
1. Electronic throttle / ECU-controlled cruise control.
2. "Cold Weather package" option -heated grips + seat.
3. (not relevant)
4. 12v outlet up front, and spare 12v acc. lead under the passenger seat.
5. One main harness with all connectors for all options, to allow for easy add-ons after initial configuration.
6. A horn that actually gets attention.
7. Full LED lighting, or LED's + HID Projectors.
Way more, including CANbus.
Hope you guys catch up. :)

Privateer, these things being factory integrated would just be nice to have. 2, 4, 6, and 7 can all be added later. When will Harley have a 600 lb, 200 HP champion that can keep up? If all I wanted was the options above, I would buy a Victory or Indian, then I could at least have some measure of power... :)

Heh, just remember, at the NHRA Championship 1/4 mile events, Harley goes 1, 2 almost all the time. But our street machines are not meant to be sportbikes. They are meant to tour with.
I was simply commenting on the original list, almost all of which the HD machines have as delivered.

No problem here Privateer. I took your post to be of a light-hearted, semi-serious nature, and replied in what I felt was a similar fashion.

Dial a wheelie (in mm or inches) control, factory quick-shifter or DCT.

Privateer, I thought you were joking at first (by comparing the ZX14R to a Harley). It makes no difference whether your HD comes with all these features. These bikes are not competitors. In fact, I would HOPE your HD has those features, for what you pay to flash that bar-and-shield around!! It's really no different than saying "The Honda Goldwing comes with all the touring amenities you 14R owners are talking about plus more." I think the entire collective internet's reply would be "Well duh."
Seriously, have you SEEN a Goldwing? More buttons than the Starship Enterprise, that one...
Since the definition of 'Touring' is so loose, you could say that since some tour on a ZX14R and you tour on a Harley, they are the considered the same buyer in the marketplace. Perhaps someone has cross-shopped the two, but they are literally the furthest bikes from one another in the spectrum of motorcycling. Most riders you'll find on this forum are not interested in switching to an air-cooled V-twin making maybe 70 horsepower from a mammoth 1,800cc?? My Suzuki SV650 track bike makes 70hp.
Suedez - having ridden a few bikes with Quick-Shifters, I wholeheartedly agree here. Would be a really great feature on the next big Ninja. I think the new '16 ZX10R has a factory equipped KQS.

I agree. There is no replacement for displacement
Create a mega sportbike. Break new ground as they did with the H2R
They could lose weight in some other areas to make up for the bigger, heavier engine
A ZX16R would absolutely rule !!!

Suspension, suspension, suspension!!!!
Ohlins road and track version!
Something you can just adjust and take to the track. I'm looking at $2500 just to get my 2014 14r set up.
For my weight and also performance.. It's killing me, I can't afford to do it. And I love to push this bike to my maximum capabilities. And I know I would be better with better suspension.
Hopefully one day I'll have the $$$$

Is the 2016 SE model purely brake upgrades? Brembo calipers/rotors/master cylinders/stainless lines.... ?
There was a ZX14R that came from the factory with Ohlins suspension on it, I think it was gold and white? I'm not positive what model of forks and shock that bike had, but I don't think they were the top shelf superbike stuff. Middle of the road as far as Ohlins stuff goes, maybe, but certainly a big upgrade over the standard stock suspension on a regular 14R.

I would love to see variable valve timing on the ZX14. Much better than butterflies. Good response around town, full power when you need it.
It also would be nice if any updates are retro compatible with older bikes...
