Sick congrats man! She's beautiful for sure. Your 14's not jellus yet but just wait till you keep walking past her to hop on the Beemer. Lol that's what happened to me when I bought my new ZX10R. :). So this winter I had to show her the love with a bunch of new goodies. Oh yeah then the 10 got pissed so I bought Her some BST carbon fiber rims to keep her quite. Man I don't think I have enough love to give for a third bike. Lol
But the KTM Super Duke..... Now I could love that. Lol.
Good luck man ride safe!

Wildpete - thanks for posting the dyno comparison. The torque between the two is staggering.
Who flashed your 14 ECU? You can PM me if you wish not to post publicly. Also, how much louder are the LV slip ones compared to stock? I really love the thought of losing some weight, and gaining a few hp/tq, but love the quietness of the OEM cannons.lol
Thanks

Well guys, I got a ride report! It's a little lack luster though. They really do have it tuned way back. I rode it by the BMW dealer and he said "We'll unleash the beast at 600 miles" so, that's that! However, got a good feel of her today and yes even in the de-tuned state it's pretty peppy. Not uncomfortable to ride at all, I put 150 miles on her today with no problem what so ever. Gawd I want the bridle taken off of this buckin bronco tho!! VERY different ride than our beloved for sure! LOVE the electronic shift! LIGHT? Geeeez it's unbelievable how light this thing is! I'm talking about throwing it into corners NO problem! Nimble and yes it's quick! You can DAMN sure tell the difference in the torque of these two bikes! ZX14R MONSTER when it comes to torque! HP4, it's got lots of torque but I'm sure when they do the 600 mile thing it'll be stronger. In Closing: Right now it's just quick enough and just fast enough to just totally PISS ME OFF! I'm just to freakin ADD to deal with it on a sane level! So...yes I damn sure made it shut itself down several times today, sorry, it's just my houligan that HAS to come out when riding these sport bikes. Oh yea, I'm fairly certain there's some skint ass in my future on these things. Oh....but I'm gonna be really carefull! HA! Haaaaaaaaaaa!! NOT!!

You rode a HP4 or HP4 competition model? I don't know anything about either of them, but I'm still having a good time following your thread. Have fun and enjoy your new ride.

When the rev limiter came off my S1000, the was so impressed with the easy at which the bike will raise the front end: almost shockingly powerful bike. But of course the traction control being on, it would just as quickly set it back down.
The electronics, handling, power, asthetics, etc, etc.................The BMW is really a nice bike to contrast the mighty 14R.
Enjoy that HP4 and be safe.

Took her out again today! I've put 350 miles on her yesterday and today. I can tell that it's gonna be a rocket as soon as they "Unleash the beast" as the dealer put it. I can very much tell it's gonna be a fun bike to have. I'm not expecting that Carmalita is gonna get jealous though. It's just a totally different ride, depending on how big a gap a person has to have to call it different. I tend to be more sensitive to the differences so it doesn't take much for it to "feel" like a totally different ride to me. I have to say though, so far, I don't find it as uncomfortable as I expected. Some of that may be my height 5'8" so I fit on it just fine. Some of it might be so much time on race bikes, which as some here are well aware of...ARE NOT NECESSARILY DESIGNED FOR COMFORT! LOL This speed and power limiting stuff is for the birds though! Cmon 600 miles!!
