Kawasaki Parts Online?
01/08/12 7:58 PM

Who has the best prices and service online for OEM Kawasaki parts? Last guys I dealt with were in Michigan, suckered me in with low ball prices then ripped my shorts off with $175 in shipping charges. When I tried to cancel the order, they were going to charge my credit card 20% restock fee, almost $300. Won't ever do business there again!

if the SsOBs only knew.

KAK just enquired recently and ordered, might want to give him a yell and ask about his experience.

Another +1 for Ron Ayers.

Thanks folks, I tried Ayers but ran into issues placing the order and ended up using Honda East Toledo, multiline dealer. They charge no shipping, I'll post up how this all works out.

Holy Smoke, I got a UPS tracking number this afternoon. Placed my order on Tuesday afternoon for about $400 in OEM Kawi parts and it shipped this afternoon with delivery scheduled for next Tuesday.

I can't get parts from my dealer this quick and they were way cheaper and no sales tax or shipping.

If everything arrives in good shape, I will definitely be recommending Honda East Toledo for online OEM shopping. So far fantastic service experience.

Well looks like I may have spoken a bit prematurely, my parts arrived this evening but missing a set of 5mm well nuts and a brake lever. I contacted customer service via email, we'll see how they respond.

Missing parts are on their way with a free gift coupon, great customer service, minor annoyance!

Got my billet kickstand today. 10.85 oz as compared to ~2 lbs for OEM.

only one prob, they tried pawning off one that was returned by someone else. Previously opened package...as soon as you see that, you just know something is wrong. Minor scrapes and scuffs would have been a great deal of work to polish out and then I would have polished instead of natural lath marks.....picky, picky but hey, this was $100 for a aluminum rod and tube with a bolt on it. If it aint perfect, who wants it?

You don't want scratches in an aluminum part, stress riser, especially one that has over 500 lbs resting on it. If their deep, I'd send it back, if very light you can use metal polish and no one will be the wiser. Take some pics and give 'em an option, send new or rebate you for taking a used part.

RE: Kawasaki Parts Online?

ahhhhh-- too late. Already called the guy and he said he'd send me a return shipping label( a little too soon---I wouldn't doubt if he knew it was scuffed)

not too bad at all, really. Nothing close to a gouge. But if you buy a new item, you expect new condition. You're right about a deep score. The package even says "NOT DOT APPROVED" so anything more than a bormal scratch, forget it!

but like I said, these aren't too bad. Never see it unless you are less than 3 feet away. If they don't make good on there free return label, I'll shoot an offer to take it for half price. They might just go for that....or get really pissed at me.

Dealt with these guys before and they sent the wrong item last time. I ended up keeping it---close enough. No more free passes. had a good exchange with them too so I won't say anything bad about them. They do offer to fix the problem so can't say they are a bunch'o schiesters. Not the first time a bad part has been shipped to me in an openned package.---that's an obvious sign that someone else returned it before they tried pushing it on you.

actually got an engine output sprocket that did not fit my 14. Splines were close but not exact. What if I would have tried forcing it on?? That's why I really resent getting stuff that is almost right but not quite. The supplier could cause you to F up your machine so they could get rid of some junk part that has been gathering dust in the scratch and dent bin for the last twelve months. Been back and forth so many times it looks like it came out of the garbage. Some day someone will take it. Not me.

Things like this aren't too awfully bad.

the lathe marks are flattened over. If I polish the heck out of it, the marks would be all but gone. I would have to do the whole stand so it would all match. Polished is not the same finish as lathed. Why should I spend 6 hours of my time trying to fix it if I bought a new one though?

This I don't care for at all, though. Looks like someone put it in some sort of jig to do who knows what----straighten it? No thank you. did it get run over by a forklift? Gotta wonder. Don't need to wory about that sort of thing. I'd rather pay twice as much and get something new.

Guys, I have a good friend that owns a multi-line dealership in West Virginia. I'm hoping that he'll get into the wholesale parts business. He sells Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Arctic Cat and some off brand four-wheelers.

If any of you want to see what kind of prices he'll offer up for OEM parts just let me know. I'm pushing for free shipping and cost + 10% on all parts. This would make a great deal for maintenance items such as filters and driveline items. I use the Kawasaki web site to get my own part numbers and then just e-mail him.

Let me know if anyone is interested in a price quote or contact information.

Sent it back on free shipping label that was emailed to me.

Another sidestand was sent and it had as much scatches as the first. Also was in an opened package again.

I give up. I want the stand bad enough that I'll take it as is but won't deal with that co again unless i Need something that I can't get anywhere else.

It's possible Rook that the mail company is opening that package for security reasons, and checking it out. They do use x-ray on certain things....no telling what it looked like on an x-ray image.Just an idea.I have had some of my packages opened, then resealed.Even had one opened, resealed, and the part was actually missing.Just the shelf plastic thing was in there...so...IDK...you always take a chance with the way things are today. And hope for the best!Stuff like this...you really can't prove who did what...you know?

If it were me..and the 'damage' wasn't too serious...just surface light blemish or whatever...I'd probably take the time and polish it myself....that's IF you do like the stand.Sending it back again...you may just get one that's in excellent shape...you know...maybe the foreman or whoever talked to the guy and said.."one more time...yer out"...so....it could work out okay for ya.IDK.Guess I'd send that one back again...and see what happens.Probably get a sweet one this next time.If not...well IDK.

...or luck of the draw, I might get one that is totally screwed. lol Best to leave well enough alone. Yeah, I can polish it if it really bothers me but nah, it's fine.

It's possible Rook that the mail company is opening that package for security reasons, and checking it out.

that is true. If they are being careful like they should be, this would be something that might look a little suspicious........the box was taped shut. Maybe UPS had a little looksee. I know they throw your packages around and bust them open now and then. Those get taped up all the time.

The scratches and scuff marks were so identical that they must have occurred in the same plant. This was a Yana Shiki. I bet they make all of these stands and suppliers claim them as their own product.
