You can't beat yourself up for trying to teach someone with zero base knowledge.
Mav I know I'm not supposed to but I most certainly did. That member had to take his bike in the shop as it wouldn't even turn over. He was told by the Mechanic he Hydraulic locked the motor. I have my doubts thats true but At any rate I was shocked as to what must have taken place in that Garage of his. Shocker Really.
You need to compare the sample rate of the DynoJet autotune and literally ANY other data logger on the market. It is extremely slow. I'm pretty sure it's the slowest on the market.
Yes the Dyno-Jet is slow taking readings 10 times per second. Bazazz 8 times a second. Wego 2 8000 asks you to set theirs at 5 times per second for street use and Dyno test it at 10 times per second. On the other extreme Dyno jet Links system is a 1000 times a second. This story has no end going from one end of the scale to another. This could be a Great new topic as to what builds a better map.
Important that you understand this discussion is on the specific use a particular tool. Although Blaming any tool for not giving you the specific results you want may be justified but surely pointless and will only lead to more frustration.
Dyno-Jets wide Band Software(Auto Tune)is linked to your PCV software. It's job is to not only collect data but to test it in the closed Loop, running in real time(SWEEEEET). This system is always working for you. Does not just fill memory banks and go to sleep.
This is not just a Data collection Tool Only (as it is most often compared to). Those tools require results to be taken to a computer for study recommended changes. Now how does the Dyno-Jet system compare to Holley Dominator system is probably not Good. But for the price this tool performs it's task quite well if used properly.
Important that the user knows what he wants from this tool and works to that End. Making a Mess of your fuel map is just as easy as building a perfect Map for your bike. Study is important here. If you thought you were going to just plug it in and world is Good Sorry. Dyno Jets "just drive the bike" approach most certainly leaves many frustrated.
I'll come back to this. Been working to many hours at nights and my buddies are smashing their New bikes during the day. Of course they want them fixed ASAP. So little time UGH !
Wisconsin has to many turns I'm told lol. This bike was ridden 600 miles with only one exhaust pipe functional. Not Good.
