This is a massive subject. I tried to explain this once before but the teaching did not go well online. The Forum member was reving bike to redline in Neutral. I must take some blame as I did tell him to rev the bike but most certainly did not think he would redline and over heat the bike in the garage. But he did. From that day Ive been very careful what I say.

You can't beat yourself up for trying to teach someone with zero base knowledge. I'd set up a quick quiz involving AFR, engine load, injector duty cycle, map cells, throttle position, extrapolation, etc. I wouldn't waste any time on someone that hasn't done any of the grunt work and gotten familiar with most of the terminology. It's readily available online. There's even hundreds of videos on youtube.

Maverick I agree with you wholeheartedly and have done exactly that. There is a lot of info out there, have seen so many clips, articles and tutorials to try to understand the terminology. Also got a lot of information from guys like Romans/Hub/Rook amongst others who are willing to share their experience. I appreciate input/direction from people like yourself who share from experience because the more I understand the easier it gets.
My knowledge has Improved from "zero" and Romans has contributed to that in a lot of ways. I trust experience over theory any day.
Now I'm wanting to understand the auto tune and deciphering good numbers from bad and how to get the best out of it. If one follows some of the videos out there you stand the chance of making more of a mess than good. It's installed in the bike I might as well get the full potential from it, but rather than use it on a trial and error basis. I'd rather draw on the experience and knowledge from Romans who I trust to give me good honest understandable info.
It's seldom you find people who are willing to assist "just because they can" , but I hear you and if someone is not going to bother to put the effort in to understand what is being taught then they shouldn't even get into it.

You need to compare the sample rate of the DynoJet autotune and literally ANY other data logger on the market. It is extremely slow. I'm pretty sure it's the slowest on the market.

I suspected as much, based on the advice (internet) and literature which advises to ride at least 400 kms before looking at trims/data. Obviously the more you ride the better/ more accurate the data. however it takes a lot longer.
The question also is there a benefit putting a better data log unit (assume more expensive) for someone like me who doesn't race or drag?

Mav I know I'm not supposed to but I most certainly did. That member had to take his bike in the shop as it wouldn't even turn over. He was told by the Mechanic he Hydraulic locked the motor. I have my doubts thats true but At any rate I was shocked as to what must have taken place in that Garage of his. Shocker Really.

You need to compare the sample rate of the DynoJet autotune and literally ANY other data logger on the market. It is extremely slow. I'm pretty sure it's the slowest on the market.

Yes the Dyno-Jet is slow taking readings 10 times per second. Bazazz 8 times a second. Wego 2 8000 asks you to set theirs at 5 times per second for street use and Dyno test it at 10 times per second. On the other extreme Dyno jet Links system is a 1000 times a second. This story has no end going from one end of the scale to another. This could be a Great new topic as to what builds a better map.

Important that you understand this discussion is on the specific use a particular tool. Although Blaming any tool for not giving you the specific results you want may be justified but surely pointless and will only lead to more frustration.

Dyno-Jets wide Band Software(Auto Tune)is linked to your PCV software. It's job is to not only collect data but to test it in the closed Loop, running in real time(SWEEEEET). This system is always working for you. Does not just fill memory banks and go to sleep.

This is not just a Data collection Tool Only (as it is most often compared to). Those tools require results to be taken to a computer for study recommended changes. Now how does the Dyno-Jet system compare to Holley Dominator system is probably not Good. But for the price this tool performs it's task quite well if used properly.

Important that the user knows what he wants from this tool and works to that End. Making a Mess of your fuel map is just as easy as building a perfect Map for your bike. Study is important here. If you thought you were going to just plug it in and world is Good Sorry. Dyno Jets "just drive the bike" approach most certainly leaves many frustrated.

I'll come back to this. Been working to many hours at nights and my buddies are smashing their New bikes during the day. Of course they want them fixed ASAP. So little time UGH !

Wisconsin has to many turns I'm told lol. This bike was ridden 600 miles with only one exhaust pipe functional. Not Good.

Jesus, Double R... it's a Ducati.

Dump it in the scrap yard and tell the former pilot you did him a favor.

Keen Eye Hagrid. Bike is the Ducati Diavel Carbon and you make a very good point.

After working on this bike I must say I am a little disappointed in some of the build quality decisions Ducati made. First and foremost why would any bike builder hang a full exhaust of this weight off the rearset. Then add brake lever, brake reservoir Brake light micro wires, exhaust valve cabling etc. Now add footpeg ??? WTF. All is being held up by two small bolts. Stand on the foot pegs or stunt the bike in any way is playing with fire IMO. Of course these two bolts were the first to shear off inside the sub frame leaving all dangling for a 600 mile trip home. I can't make sense of it. Also 420 bucks for one small piece of plastic that covers oiler cooler hurts wallet. After market exhaust 3500 ??? To build this bike from parts would cost insane amount of money.

Before Pic. Garage Jewerly Lol. The Looks Growing on me.

Yes it is. Currently having trouble getting it installed in my computer properly. Would appear that I need to send Registration Key to someone and they will send me the final exe file. Problem is, I'm Not being told who that someone is ???? Sounds a bit shady to me but I guess I knew that going in. Roll the Dice. Snake Eyes is a very real possibility.

From what I can see looks like I can flash almost every car or truck out there but motorcycle section is only showing Suz, Yam, & only some kawi. My high hopes starting to fade. Which only feeds my Neeeed To know even more. Grrr Not giving up. I need a computer Geek as a friend to get my registration key INTO the software. This is my road block. Unfortunately don't know any. I have a buddy coming over today but his knowledge of how to get files into programs is no better than mine.

Working on it. Computers and I have a uneasy working relationship.

The software will send your files to someone (who knows who it is)

Why not ? If I get this to work, great. If not, I will move onto something else. Not trying would be the only crime. Little video for you with crickets. Love the crickets. My issue is still that ID into the prg. Working on it.

Yes of course. I'm with you both..... Yep, Pay Peanuts Get Monkeys. Make no mistake, I am very aware of what I purchased. Always knew going in.

But, before I spend that kind of money on the real deal I need to take a real good look inside the software to see if it's something I even want.

The Piasnini Software is obviously Pirated as it is a exact copy. This is what has my interest peaked. How this is aloud is what gets me, but here we are.

Besides, Spending 120 bucks to learn something I can live with. I jumped into Woolich the day it was released. That was a Risk too. And like anything new there was issues.

And look, I'm already having issues. If I can extract anything worth talking about I will post it. For now I advise to steer clear. I need a better Hobby.
